Through this project, I had learnt the four basic hatching techniques that are useful in following projects. I had learnt the importance of including hathing techniques in drawings to make a strong visual and graphic presentation.

Axonometric drawings are an excellent method of communicating and expressing an architectural idea. It is visually instigating and exiting way of expressing an idea clearly with minimal words if executed well. Through this project, I was able to express spatial ideas and architectural detail in 3D, in the format of an axonometric projection. I had understood what axonometric projections are, how to generate them and how to apply them to the design process and presentation. Besides, I was able to produce legible architectural drawings and increased the understanding of the architectural detail and spatial value of Farnsworth House.

PROJECT 2C:PERSPECTIVES

This project required us to redesign Farnsworth house fecade and interior. Through this project, I had learnt how to demonstrate drafting skills in modern and traditional methods of architecture drawings. I had learnt to record and present clear and legible architecture information manually and also identify and apply architecture conventions and symbols correctly in pencil and ink examples of: line types, line weights, line quality and hand lettering. Besides, I was able to demonstrate gained knowledge, skill, and understanding of orthographic projections in architectural documentation. Moreover, I had understood the appropriate use of technique and scale in this project.

This project introduces perspectives as a mode of communication in architecture. In constructing one-point perspective and two-point perspective, I was able to demonstrate idea in 3D form, understanding of 2D and 3D relationships in architectural graphics, skills in drawing and composition, creativity and complexity of drawings. I understand what perspectives are through this project and I learnt how to generate them and apply them into the design process and presentation.

For this Project 1A, we are required to produce 4 sketches based on three main catagories, which are: 1) Understanding of space & form 2) Sketching techniques and 3) Creativity. This project was focus on the understanding of space and basic principles of architecture. It need to be a free-hand sketching included exterior and interior space.

Through this project, I had understood the morion of space in architecture. I had learnt to visualize space through observation and perception of a given site. We should develop hatching skills as a mode of communication.
